Russian Weather and Music in the Cathedral

Two “Tweets” Apart from making the mistake of not wearing enough layers to fight off the chill, really enjoyed Chester Phil’s concert at Chester Cathedral last night. At least the cold contributed to the Russian theme. Fantastic Rachmaninov tonight! Bravo.

Women’s Quartet at Chester’s new ‘Storyhouse’

Chester Philharmonic will be providing a string quartet for Chester’s new Storyhouse theatre and cultural centre on Sunday next 21st to celebrate WOW (women of the world) week.

We are now officially an award winning orchestra

Chester Philharmonic have been awarded the Cheshire West Voluntary Arts Network Music Award  for 2017 in recognition of our longevity, in supporting young musicians & collaboration with Queens Park High School Chester. Thank you CWVAN.

Cheshire West and Chester Voluntary Arts Award

Great news. Chester Philharmonic have been nominated in this year’s Community and Voluntary Arts Award. The results and awards will be presented by The Sheriff on May 16th in Chester Town Hall.
